Top speakers lined up for business master class

A business masterclass featuring an outstanding line-up of business leaders and motivational speakers is to be staged next week.

The all-day Greater Birmingham Business Masterclass, takes place at Austin Court, Birmingham, on Tuesday, November 4, and will be hosted by award-wining TV host Nick Hancock.

The events is being organised by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC) in conjunction with team building specialists The PGS Team Ltd.

Henrik Court, GBCC events director, said:  "The Chamber's reputation for helping business to do business means that we have been able to negotiate excellent rates of £30 and less for an event with top-name speakers.  This is one of the best speaker line ups we have had in the last five years."

The Masterclass, from 9am until 4.30pm, will cover a wide range of subjects, including making the most of the media with tips from former BBC news journalist Steve Bustin.

Retired Lieutenant Colonel Stewart Hill, who led the largest ever ground battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan, will talk about how he has learned to deal with change.

Geoff Burch, an internationally acknowledged authority on sales, customers, leadership and change who was dubbed "the Hells Angel of management consultancy", will challenge the way business is done and offer real solutions.

They will be joined by Robin Money, the former director of Sports Marketing for Adidas UK & Ireland who will advise on how to deliver a market leading wellness programme for your business.

Fundraising inspirational adventurer, blind Dave Heeley will speak about the importance of teamwork and Dr. Dorian Dugmore, the director of corporate wellness at Perform St. George's Park will provide a better understanding of a wellness plan.   

Shed Simove, who headed TV shows The Big Breakfast, Space Cadets and Big Brother will provide ideas and techniques which can be used instantly in business. He also helped launch the careers of Russell brand, Kelly Brook and Tess Daley.

Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided at the event which is being held at IET Birmingham, Austin Court.  Costs are £30 plus VAT with discounts for Chamber members.
